FAQ

FAQ

After using the airbed, it doesn't stay inflated. Is there an air leak?
There is not an air leak. This happens due to the natural expansion of the PVC material after the first use. We suggest adding air to maintain the proper inflation level.
If my airbed has a hole, how can I locate it?
It can be located by using a mixture of liquid soap and water. Before checking the position of the air leakage, please make sure that the airbed is fully inflated. As a first step, we recommend checking the seal on all screw and safety valves. Then apply the soapy mixture to the airbed. While doing so, you will see bubbles where there is an air leak.
Why the color inside my pool is fading?
Excessive use of chemicals can cause the color of the inside of the liner to fade. This is similar to a swimsuit fading over time from repeated contact with chlorinated water.
How can I check if air is leaking from the air valve?
It can be located by using a mixture of liquid soap and water. Before checking for the air leak from the air valve, please make sure that inflatable ring is fully inflated, then apply the soapy mixture to the air valve. While doing so, you will see bubbles where there is an air leak.
If the air valve is deformed, how can I restore its initial shape?
Step 1: discharge 10% of the water for safety reasons. Step 2: prepare some hot water 85°C (185°F), and put the whole valve into the water for 1 minute. step 3: wait for the valve to cool down and close the valve. It will recover the correct shape. Warning: the operation must be performed by an adult. Be careful with the hot water.
What can I do if the liner becomes stuck to the top rails when dismantling it?
With the help of a little wooden stick and some talcum powder, the liner can be separated from the top rails. As recommended in the user manual, to avoid this situation in future seasons, customers can apply some talcum to the top rails before installation.
How can I repair my pool if there is a hole in the liner?
The pool does not need to be emptied to fix the holes. Underwater adhesive repair patches included in the sets or purchased at your local pool/hardware store can be used under the water following these steps: STEP 1: clean the surface around the hole on the inside of the pool to wipe off any oils and algae. STEP 2: cut a circle out of the repair patch large enough to cover the hole. STEP 3: apply the patch inside the pool and keep it pressed for 30 seconds to complete the operation. We also suggest applying a second patch to the external part of the pool liner for extra strength.
Why does the control panel display E01?
E01 means that the water flow sensor is not in the correct position or it is broken.
What can I do if the control panel displays E01?
• Unplug the pump. With one hand, hold the pump, and with the other, hit the pump three times hard enough to shake the internal components. • Plug in the pump. If the control panel still displays the alarm E01, the water flow sensor is broken.

If the seal is placed correctly, reconnect the pump to the spa and hand-tighten the adapters until the end.
Which operation should I perform if the spa heater doesn't reach the set temperature?
It may take several hours to reach the set temperature. It will depend on the starting water temperature, the environment temperature and the set temperature. The temperature of the water increases by 1.5°C to 2.0°C (34.7°F to 35.6°F) per hour if the power supply in your country is 220V. The temperature of the water will increase by 1°C to 1.5°C (33.8°F to 34.7°F) per hour if the power supply in your country is 110V. IMPORTANT: to increase the performance of the heating function in Bestway's spa, follow these suggestions: 1. Clean the filter cartridge every day, and if necessary, replace with a new one. 2. Always keep the spa cover with inflatable lid in place when performing the heating function.
What can I do if the display shows E02?
When the spa heater displays the alarm E02, it means that the system doesn’t detect water flowing through the pump. One of the main problems could be incorrect maintenance of the filter cartridge. If the problem is the filter cartridge, follow the below steps: First step: unplug the socket, wait 30 seconds and plug it back in, and reset the PRCD. This operation cancels the E02 alarm. Second step: remove the filter set from the spa. Third step: without the filter set, activate the filtration system. If you follow the above steps and the E02 alarm doesn't appear on the display, change the filter cartridge and place the filter set back inside the spa. If the alarm still appears, submit the support form to get the replacement. IMPORTANT: check that the debris screen is complete free of white lime stone that can come from the water. IMPORTANT: be sure that the stopper caps are removed from the inlet/outlet ports inside the spa.
Why the new inflatable PVC lid is too small?
This problem normally occurs when a new lid has been purchased or replaced under warranty. New lids need a little time to expand before they reach the correct size. The rate at which the lid expands depends on the ambient air temperature and how often the water inside your spa is heated. Please be assured that this is perfectly normal. The difference will not influence the performance of the lid. IMPORTANT: to inflate the inflatable lid, use the spa heater and the provided inflation hose. Don't use air pressure machines or other equipment that can over-inflate and deform the PVC lid. IMPORTANT: to inflate the inflatable lid, use the spa heater and the provided inflation hose. Don't use air pressure machines or other equipment that can over-inflate the PVC liner and drastically reduce the lifespan of your spa.
Why does my spa have some pink stains?
Pinkish staining is a by-product of a microorganism called Streptoverticillium Reticulum. The microorganism is often present in areas of high humidity and is usually deposited by the rain. Although the vinyl coating on a spa is treated to resist bacteria (meaning it is not a suitable food source), it is still a perfect host site for this particular microorganism. Other than looking strange, the staining should not affect the use of your liner or enjoyment of your spa. Despite the fact that the pinkish staining is extremely difficult to remove, regularly cleaning your liner should prevent Streptoverticillium Reticulum from ever appearing.
Why are there water drops or condensation inside the liner, and how can I solve the situation before storing the liner?
Water drops inside the liner come from the humidity in the air when inflating the spa liner. Since the water inside the pool is hot and the environment temperature is lower, the humidity of the air inside the spa liner chamber will create water drops.
Why is the color of the liner fading?
Exposure to sunlight can fade of the original color of the external surface. The internal PVC color can fade with use of chemicals necessary for water maintenance. Unfortunately, there is no way to restore the original color of the liner. However, it should not affect the use of your liner or enjoyment of your spa. IMPORTANT: over usage of chemicals can damage the PVC liner, and the results can be dangerous for the user. Always follow the quantity suggested and use the chemical floater to perform the chemical treatment. Don't add the chemicals directly to the water. The chemicals will deposit on the bottom and can break the PVC.
How can I find out if water is leaking from the spa liner or from the pump?
Attach the stopper caps to the inside of the liner, disconnect the pump unit, and move the pump unit away from the liner for approximately 10 minutes. If no more water has appeared beneath the liner, then the pump is causing the leak and will need to be replaced.
What should I do if the spa heater shuts off at random time during the week?
The problem is probably caused by the instability of the power in your house. Consult your electrician or the local power supply to solve the problem.
Why does the pump not heat the water even when the heat button is activated and the water filtration system is operating?
If the pump doesn't heat the water when the heat button is activated and the filtration system is operating, follow these steps: The setting temperature is too low: increase the temperature until 40°C, using the Temperature Adjustment Buttons on the control panel (see the PUMP OPERATION part of the owner’s manual) The reset button operation has not been performed: press the “Reset” button (see the PUMP OPERATION part of the owner’s manual) The environment is cold: place the top cover on the spa and start the pump The filter cartridge is dirty: clean/replace the filter cartridge (see the MAINTENANCE part of the owner’s manual) IMPORTANT: the heating system is capable of increasing the water temperature by approximately 1.5°C to 2.0°C (34.7°F to 35.6°F) if your power supply is 220V-240V and by 1°C to 1.5°C (33.8°F to 34.7°F) if your power supply is 110V-120V. How much pressure is recommended to inflate the top ring of my Bestway Fast Set pool?
We recommend the use of a Bestway inflation pump (not included) or other low-pressure pump when attempting to inflate the top ring. The top ring is inflated correctly when it becomes round in shape and is firm to the touch. Pay attention to the air temperature variation. If the top ring is over-inflated, under the sunshine it may burst or could lead to leaks in the seam. If the ring is too firm, open the inflation valve and release the air in excess. In cold ambient temperatures, the top ring will lose pressure. It may appear as though the ring is deflating due to a leak, but it is caused by the difference of temperature. We suggest not to inflate to avoid the same situation. Note: Use of an air compressor or high pressure pump for the inflation of the ring is forbidden. Bestway will not be responsible for the bursting of the ring due to the use of an air compressor.
Can I have my pool filled by a water service?
We recommend using a garden hose under low pressure to fill in your pool. If it is necessary to use a water delivery service, it is better to fill the pool with one inch of water by hose and smooth wrinkles first. It is recommended to use a water service that is able to regulate the flow of water to prevent damage. Ensure you stop at each step as noted in the instruction manual to ensure your pool is level. Bestway will not be held responsible for pools damaged or weakened by water delivery services.
What is the maximum fill height of the pool?
Fill pool until water capacity is 80%. Fill with water until the wall is straight up, and the water reaches the welding line. DO NOT OVERFILL as this could cause the pool to collapse. In case of heavy rainfall you may need to empty some of the water to ensure the level is correct.
How many years will the pool last?
There is no set time limit for the pools to last. Following the instructions in the owner’s manual and with proper care, maintenance and storage, you can considerably increase the life of your pool. Improper set-up, storage and usage can instead reduce it drastically.

The pool must be thoroughly cleaned with a mild soap and water solution and carefully rinsed to completely remove soap suds and dirty residue. Make sure the pool is completely dry before storing it. Fold the pool liner only if the environment temperature is above 10ºC / 50ºF. Store the pool in a dry place with a moderate temperature between 10ºC / 50ºF and 38ºC / 100ºF and position the pool liner and all accessories inside a carton box, to better protect the PVC material during the winter period.
How much weight does a ladder support?
Bestway has two weight standards for the ladders: 145 kg (331 lbs) and 305 kg (672 lbs), depending on the safety standards of the country. Bestway ladders are in compliance with all international and national safety standards.
The ladder is not completely stable when a person begins to climb it. Is this normal?
Yes. This is absolutely normal because the ladder must be flexible enough to adapt to the weight pressure of the person mounting it.
Is it safe to jump or dive into the pool from the ladder or any type of platform?
No. Under no circumstances should you jump or dive into the pool. Bestway does not sell any pools that are deep enough for such activities, and failure to abide by this rule may likely result in serious injury, paralysis or death.
What is a suitable surface for setting up my Fast Set Oval Pool?
Almost any completely flat, solid and level surface can be used. Do not use sand as leveling material as it is prone to shift under the pool. The ground should be dug out until it is perfectly level. Do not set up on driveways, decks, platforms, gravel or asphalt. The ground should be stable enough to withstand the weight and pressure of the water. Mud, sand, soft/loose ground and tar are not suitable. To avoid abrasions and tears in the liner, it’s recommended to not drag the pool across the surface. If the pool has to be set up on a lawn, it is recommended that the grass is removed from under and around. The grass will die and may cause odors/slime. IMPORTANT: Certain types of hard grass can grow through the liner, as can aggressive bushes/plants by the sides or through the pool. If this happens, it cannot be considered a manufacturer problem. Moreover, ground cloths are not designed to avoid this situation. So be sure to remove all aggressive bushes/plants from the designed location of the pool and its surroundings before installing it.
What is the maximum fill height of the Fast Set pool?
Fill the pool with water after all assembly steps are completed and until the water reaches the welding line, which corresponds to 90% of the full capacity. Do not overfill as this could cause the pool to collapse. In case of heavy rainfall, we strongly recommend to reduce the water level to keep it at 90% capacity, to avoid overflowing of the water.
Do you recommend using pool chemicals?
Yes, we recommend using pool chemicals to maintain the proper chemical levels of the water. Pool chemicals can also make maintenance easier by significantly reducing the amount of times you change your water during the season. Important: always follow the safety instructions written on the chemical products.
Do I need to disassemble my pool for the winter?
It is strongly recommended to disassemble the pool for the winter. The above ground pools may collapse under the weight of ice and snow, which would greatly damage the PVC pool walls. We recommend disassembling the pool when temperatures fall below 10ºC / 50ºF.
What should I do if I notice debris and dirt on the floor of my pool?
In there is debris or dirt on the floor of the pool, we recommend using the Bestway Deluxe Maintenance Kit or choosing from our wide variety of Bestway cleaning accessories. Using the correct accessories to maintain your pool can increase the life of your water.
What should I do if my water turns green?
If the water becomes green due to the incorrect chemical maintenance, establish the correct chemical balance by contacting your local chemical dealer. They will suggest the correct products to use and the frequency.
Why are the C-connectors of my pool loose?
C-connectors are designed to be free, and there is no risk of collapsing after filling the pool with the water or during usage. C-connectors are designed to adapt themselves to the shape of the top rails during assembly and disassembly. After filling the pool with water, the C-connectors must be free to follow the movement of the pool’s top rails. The frame must be flexible to prevent damages. See the below video for more information.
Why aren't the top rails straight?
Without water in the pool, it is normal that the top rails are not straight due to the weight of the frame. When water reaches 90% capacity, the pressure of the water will push the top rails out, and the top rails should be straight. See below video for more information.
What can I do if white flakes appear in the water?
The presence of white flakes in your water depends on the hardness of the water. Drain about 20 to 25% of the pool water and add fresh water to decrease the calcium hardness. Visually inspect the electrolytic cell for scale buildup and clean the electrolytic cell if necessary. If the above operation doesn't solve the problem, contact your nearest chemical supplier to purchase the correct chemical to reduce the hardness of the water.
Is it important to use the ground cloth included in the set of the Hydrium Round pools?
Yes, it is very important to use it when you set up the pool. It will help protect the PVC liner.
Can I embed the pool liner into the ground?
No, the structure is designed to be positioned above ground.

Why the new inflatable pool smaller than the pool leather cover on the first version?
When you set up the spa liner for the first time, the liner may seem to be smaller than the the leather cover. The inflatable PVC part is smaller because after filling it with water and after time, the PVC will expand. This design avoids the size of the liner increasing and breaking the leather cover. The same situation will occur when a new PVC inflatable liner has been purchased or replaced under warranty. New inflatable liner needs time to expand before it reaches the correct size. The rate at which the liner expands depends on the ambient air temperature and how often the water inside your spa is heated. Please be assured that this is perfectly normal and we have never had a liner that has not expanded to the correct size. IMPORTANT: to inflate the inflatable liner, use the spa heater and the provided inflation hose. Don't use air pressure machines or other equipment that can over-inflate the PVC liner and drastically reduce the lifespan of your spa.

What is the functionality and advantage of using the power saving function?
The power saving function was created to optimize the usage of the Bestway spa. You can decide to start the heating system later in the day in order to have the desired temperature and enjoy the spa massage when you need it, instead of keeping the heating function on all the time and wasting energy. Example: if you need your spa at 40°C (104ºF) tomorrow evening, you would just follow these steps: First step: open the filtration system and after one minute you should see the real water temperature (e.g. 18℃). Second step: if the set temperature is 40℃ (104ºF), the difference between actual temperature and set temperature is 22℃ (71ºF). Since the temperature increase per hour is 2℃ (35ºF), you need to start heating the water 11 hours before using it. If is 6 PM and you want to use the spa tomorrow evening at 6 PM, this means the spa heater has to start heating at 7 AM, so set the waiting time to 13 hours and heating time to 11 hours. In this case, the power saving function saves more than 13 hours of power (more than 26KW) because without this function you would have been forced to start the spa in the evening and waste a lot of energy and money.
